BrainArk Real World Asset (RWA) Protocol — Version: September 2026. Explains the intended architecture and operating model. Not legal, investment, or regulatory advice.
The BrainArk Real World Asset (RWA) Protocol is a set of tools built on BrainArk Layer 1 (chain ID 1236), an EVM-compatible blockchain running Hyperledger Besu with IBFT consensus. It’s designed to help individuals, businesses, and organizations build and tokenize their own real-world assets on-chain — through a no-code issuance interface or a developer API — complete with staking-based liquidity and a built-in marketplace.
No. BrainArk is the infrastructure layer, not the custodian of every underlying asset. Asset providers — the wallets that issue assets through the platform — are responsible for the assets they bring in, including custody, validation, and legal responsibilities.
The asset provider is responsible for validating the underlying asset and determining the rights or claims offered to its customers. BrainArk provides the blockchain infrastructure used to represent and manage the asset on-chain, not the validation of the asset itself.
Real-world asset rules differ by jurisdiction, so providers are expected to operate in accordance with the laws and regulations applicable to their activities and customers. BrainArk infrastructure does not replace the provider’s legal or regulatory responsibilities, and nothing here is legal advice.
Hyperledger Besu provides the core Ethereum-compatible blockchain client infrastructure used by BrainArk: EVM-compatible smart-contract execution, Ethereum-oriented tooling, JSON-RPC connectivity, and EVM wallet/application compatibility (MetaMask, WalletConnect, etc.).
IBFT (Istanbul Byzantine Fault Tolerant) is the consensus mechanism BrainArk validators use to agree on valid blocks and transactions. It gives reliable validator coordination, fast finality, and Byzantine fault tolerance without energy-intensive mining.
Yes. BrainArk is an EVM-compatible Layer 1. It supports Solidity smart contracts and standard EVM wallet/developer tooling. The public RPC endpoint is rpc.brainark.online and the block explorer is explorer.brainark.online.
BAK is the native coin of the BrainArk network (chain ID 1236) — like ETH on Ethereum, not an ERC-20 token. It’s used for network settlement, transaction execution (gas), smart-contract interactions, validator ecosystem participation, bridge infrastructure, liquidity, and RWA-related activity.
to issue an asset (a refundable BAK stake is required, but it is not a fee)
marketplace fee on applicable buy/sell transactions
unstaking fee on asset-related BAK
flat fee to self-register a custom asset type
The 0% issuance cost is meant to reduce barriers to creating real-world asset representations. There’s no platform charge to issue — you only stake BAK, which you get back later via unstaking (minus the unstaking fee). The ecosystem is instead sustained by usage: network gas, marketplace activity, and unstaking/registration fees.
The StakingManager contract defines a separate, higher fee tier intended for stakes below a configurable threshold. That threshold is currently set to 0, so this tier does not apply to any stake today — the standard 3% unstaking fee applies uniformly regardless of stake size.
The protocol combines an asset-liquidity mechanism (BAK staked against each asset), marketplace infrastructure for buying and selling asset NFTs, and cross-chain infrastructure via WBAK and PancakeSwap to expand market accessibility beyond the BrainArk network itself.
WBAK (Wrapped BrainArk) is an ERC-20 representation of BAK on Binance Smart Chain, extending BAK’s accessibility into external EVM and DeFi environments such as PancakeSwap.
It provides infrastructure for listing and interacting with supported real-world asset representations — buying, selling, and browsing tokenized assets — supporting market access and liquidity within the BrainArk ecosystem.
Development transaction-load testing produced approximately 1,000 TPS with around 2-second block times and fast finality under the tested conditions. These are testing results and performance targets, not a guarantee of identical throughput under every production workload.
The project intends to expand its validator network and continue testing, optimizing, and scaling its infrastructure, with a long-term target of 100+ validators to support greater decentralization and network resilience.
Yes — that’s the core idea behind the RWA Protocol: it’s a toolkit, not a walled garden. BrainArk gives you the tools to build and tokenize your own real-world asset directly — you don’t need BrainArk itself to become the custodian of your asset. A developer API is also available under the Developer section of this app for programmatic issuance and marketplace integration.
BrainArk provides the on-chain infrastructure for representing and managing digital ownership records, including an owner-controlled password used to authorize transfers and unstaking. The asset provider remains responsible for the underlying real-world asset and the legal rights or claims associated with it.
